Tumblr, I have been neglecting you. I apologize. Working 7 days a week, many friends visiting, planning trips, etc. It’s been hard to sit down and catch up. I promise that I will be better at maintaining you from now on. We can talk about CMJ, my birthday, Fest, etc. It will be good, I promise.
Lets start playing catch up by talking about Erin’s wedding. Erin and I met in kindergarten. Our friendship was based on a lie. Having very little contact with others before kindgergarten (my social circle was probably limited to my dog and neighbor at this point) I thought it was amazing and unheard of to meet someone with the same name as me. Well, same first name as my middle name. ”Your name is Erin?! My middle name is Erin!!” She responded by telling me her middle name was Lindsay. NOT TRUE. But we became best friends. Unfortunately I moved in third grade, but Erin and I remained friends. Even after I moved 1000 miles away for high school. We reconnected over Facebook (obvs) and have been in touch ever since. About a year ago she asked me to be in her wedding. I very graciously accepted and a year flew by…before I knew it it was time to go to Wisconsin and a bridesmaid. I went alone (fun!) and had genuinely an amazing time. I was so honored to be in the wedding and so excited and happy I accepted. It honestly was ten times better than expected.
Also in the wedding was Jenny, another kindergarten friend, and Nicole, Erins roommate from college whom I had never met but instantly loved. Matt’s (the groom) sister was also hilarious and amazing and I couldn’t have picked a better wedding party. Meeting Matt was great; he and Erin are perfect for each other. I could not be happier for her. Seeing Erin’s parents for the first time in like, a decade, was incredible. Did I mention the country club was gorgeous and the food was amazing and everything in general was great? The reception was a blast. I danced, hung out with new friends, and drank a million Coca-Colas thanks to our amazing bartender.
So thats that. GREAT WEEKEND.
Visuals!
